How to Play

Welcome to Old WImbeldonians Fantasy Cricket 2010!

This is it! Old Wimbeldonians Fantasy Cricket is finally here, giving you the opportunity to manage a cricket team based on members of the club. From Saturday 1s to Sunday 4s, everybody is accounted for.

The game is easy to play, simply follow the steps outlined below to get started...

STEP 1: Either login or Register for OW's Fantasy Cricket

If you have already registered for the game, simply full in your email address and password into the bar at the top of the screen. You will then gain access to your team and be able to check the leaderboards. If this is your first time on the site and you would like to join, simply click here, fill in some details, and away you go!

STEP 2: Pick Your Team

Now it is time for some serious soul searching... Are you good enough for your own fantasy cricket team? Will you pass your own high selection standards?

It is entirely up to you as you get to pick your choice of eleven players from the club. Each player has been rated and categorised* according to their 2009 performance. You will need to stay within the allocated budget of £7,000,000.

Choose from two formations, either:

5 batsmen	4 batsmen
1 all-rounder	2 all-rounders
1 wicket keeper	1 wicket keeper
4 bowlers	4 bowlers

STEP 3: Let the points roll in!

Team Changes

You can change the line up of your team as often as you like before scoring starts on June 19. Then, during the game, you can change your players and/or the captaincy to try and score more points.

You can make up to 20 team changes during the season and up to 10 captaincy changes.

Mini Leagues

Do you think you will fare better than your team mates or friends in the club? I know I do. So why not prove it, by setting up your own private mini-league?

You'll be able to track your progress against your buddies every day, and you'll even be able to chat and compare notes on your own private messageboard - so the banter will flow all the way to the end of the season!

The Nitty Gritty

It is a sad fact of life that nothing in this world is for free, but at least when playing this game, you will be safe in the knowledge that all proceeds will be going towards the culb. Making your playing experience an even better one!

The cost of a team is £5, and if you are a high roller, you can buy 3 teams for just £10. Bargain. Fact.

Payment can be made to Dave Gibson in person. All entries are tracked, so if you do not pay, he will hunt you down... And do something nasty to you. Your imagination can do the rest.
